Listen first
We begin with the questions our families, young people, and professionals bring. Understanding what matters to the community helps us focus the next initiatives.
Our roots bring us together. The connections we create help us move forward as a community, in Pennsylvania and the Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Connection Movement was established in Pennsylvania to strengthen ties between Dominicans living abroad and the Dominican Republic. Our vision brings together community life, culture, civic education, and opportunities for development.
We aim to bring together professionals, community leaders, young people, and anyone willing to contribute their ideas and talents. By connecting people with institutions, businesses, and organizations, we want to turn shared interests into opportunities for everyone.

We bring together people with shared interests and seek relationships with organizations and institutions that can contribute knowledge and fresh perspectives.
A conversation can become a proposal, a collaboration, or a gathering. We want participation to have a clear path, even when it starts small.
George Fernandez believes in a simple idea: a community moves forward when its members have opportunities to meet, listen, and collaborate. His vision for Dominican Connection puts people first, alongside the relationships that keep our identity alive between Pennsylvania and the Dominican Republic.
From that perspective, leadership begins by staying close: opening conversations with families and professionals, making room for new generations, and finding common ground with institutions and organizations. His proposal is to help bring different voices together around shared goals, so more people can find a way to contribute to their community.
